The program commemorates the 20 th anniversary of local autonomy in the Philippines through the conduct of year-long series of local governance-related activities that are held and participated by national government agencies (NGAs), local government units (LGUs), the private sector, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), civil society organization (CSOs), the academe, the media, etc.

Objectives of the Program:

• Commemorates the 20th anniversary of local autonomy in the Philippines through in the Philippines through a year-long series of activities at the local and national level
• "Biyaheng Pinoy" contributes in the broader valuation of local autonomy towards national development; and
• Increase awareness of the general public on local governance issues through conducting different activities involving various stakeholders
