Local Governance Performance Management System (LGPMS) |
LGPMS is a self-assessment, management and development tool that enables local governments to determine their capabilities & limitations in the delivery of essential public services along the 5 performance areas, namely: Social, Economic, Environmental, Administration and Governance areas. It provides benchmark data that can be utilized for program prioritization, policy formulation and policy direction for development purposes of LGUs. Generally, it enables LGUs to determine their state of performance and state of development, using governance and development indicators.
This is being spearheaded by the Department of the Interior and Local Government, through the Bureau of Local Government Supervision, in partnership with major stakeholders, i.e. LGU users, national government agencies, local government leagues, civil society organizations, business community and international development partners.
GPMS, being a web-database, can generate the following on-line reports: (1)State of Local Governance Performance e-Report; (2) State of Local Development e-Report; (3) Financial Performance e- Report; (4) e-Summary Reports (Provincial, Regional and National). |
